Development on anything else should pause until this feature is rolled out. 4 years since it was suggested. I would also love the ability to unpack a crate into a folder. Without it, I won't touch crates--which means I have to build everything manually. This is a more significant feature than it seems on the surface.

For those who can't be bothered to wait for Rewst to implement this - I have thrown together a browser extension that enables workflow folder functionality. Fully open source so do whatever you want with it.

As others have mentioned, it is so hard to keep track of things in a flat list. There are tags but that only helps so much. Would love to see folders soon 😃

Came to Canny to post this idea so it's great to see it already present, in PLANNED, and with so many upvotes. We have over 1,200 workflows in Rewst and the flat list is just unusable. Yes, we've got a separate index spreadsheet (mm, nice!) for handling them a bit better and yes, search and tagging is a thing, but folder-based management would be way nicer.

Can we get a feature to be able to organize workflows into particular folder for better organising, right now we have to put tags or go through filter for it and its not convenient and not efficient. Its just overwelhmig to see 1000s of wokflows in the workflow tab and everthing is everywhere

I opened the page but I was sad
Because there were no folders in the workflow tab
All my life, I've wanted to be organized
So this is a feature I wish that I had

This is what I would need as well. We have multiple teammates working on workflows, folder would help a lot to organize.
If we could move the timeline up a little bit.

Organize it like GPOs!
Have a central store containing everything and then use "OUs" (Folders/Groups/Containers, or any customizable structure) to store links to one or more workflows placed there. When clicked on, these links should redirect to the corresponding workflow in the central store, allowing users to view or edit the actions.
Additionally, allow the ability to clone a workflow directly within an "OU". This action should:
- Create a cloned workflow in the central store.
- Automatically place a link to the cloned workflow in the "OU" you are working on.
- When we rename a workflow in the "OU", it should ask if you want to create a clone or rename the "master" one in the central store
